When NATIVA was founded in 2010, it felt natural to include in our articles of association a commitment to create a positive impact—not just economically, but for people and society too.
But back then, Italian law didn’t see it that way. It took us four attempts before it was finally accepted. And that was just the beginning.
We realized that transforming companies alone isn’t enough—you have to change the system they operate in, rewriting the rules themselves. This drive inspired us to help create the law on Benefit Societies, making Italy the first country outside the United States to adopt it.
Since then, NATIVA has been dedicated to accelerating the shift toward a regenerative model—one where organizations produce economic, social, and environmental value that exceeds the resources they consume. A model that creates value for everyone.
