Reti: B Corp certification lands in the stock exchange

Even listed companies can operate according to the highest sustainability standards in the world. If this aspect was clear thanks to an international example such as Danone, we now have confirmation in Italy as well.

The good news comes from Reti, one of Italy’s leading players in the IT Consulting sector, which has become the first Italian public company to obtain the B Corp certification. This is a fundamental step in the process of improving its sustainability profile, which began last year with the adoption of the legal status of Benefit Corporation, which has enabled Reti to include in its Statute the creation of value for all the stakeholders, as well as for the shareholders, a goal that characterises ‘double purpose’ companies.

This commitment is also enhanced by numerous concrete actions carried out by Reti in recent years: on one hand, the provision of training and courses dedicated to developing IT skills for disadvantaged groups and aimed at getting the people involved hired. On the other hand, the involvement of the community through events linked to art and culture, granting the spaces of its Campus, an element of great pride for the company.

Now another big result. The B Corp certification, achieved with the support of Nativa, which will continue to work with Reti to improve its sustainability performance, attests to the company’s ability to create profit responsibly, returning real value to the community. Reti thus becomes the first and only listed Italian broadcaster to join the group of more than 3,700 B Corps worldwide that want to rewrite the way of doing business, operating according to a “regenerative” paradigm and with the aim of creating value for people, communities and the environment, in parallel with the pursuit of economic results.

An extraordinary story that makes Reti a leader in its sector and an example for all listed companies.

The B Corp certification enters the stock market. In five years, looking back at today, we will understand the importance of this achievement. Not only for Reti, which testifies to the excellence of its environmental and social performance, but for all the listed companies that will gradually follow its example. The B Corp model is based on a rigorous drive for transparency, measurement of social and environmental impact in addition to economic impact, and dual purpose. Fundamental elements of a listed company that are interpreted with tools and models adapted to the 21st century.” Paolo Di Cesare, co-founder of Nativa

We are very proud to be able to announce this special achievement, in the hope that it will be an inspiration to businesses in our country. The goal now is to continue working on the foundations of a corporate culture that is increasingly oriented towards the common benefit, guided by our technological nature and our strong desire to contribute to the processes of digitalisation and sustainable innovation. Bruno Paneghini, CEO and Chairman of Reti S.p.A.
